The impact of distance learning on the family climate of primary school pupils

The bachelor thesis examines the effect of distance learning on the family climate in the home of a first grade elementary school student. The thesis combines theoretical findings from family psychology and an analysis of the infrastructural requirements of distance education. The practical part includes quantitative research aimed at verifying the expected effects of distance learning on family climate. It concludes with an evaluation of the research findings and the overall impact of distance education during the covid-19 pandemic on family climate.
The role of the teacher´s assistant in child with diabetes mellitus at the first grade of primary school.

The goal of this bachelor´s work is to describe position of the assistent of the pedagogue at the student with diagnosis diabetes mellitus and suggest reducement of negative impacts of special educative needs of the student to the ecucation with a help of assistant of the pedagogue. Bachelor´s work consists of two parts. Teoretical part relyes on special literature. First part specialises in diabetes mellitus, its history, type of diabetes, its acute and chronic complications, aids for treatment of diabetes mellitus 1st type, treatment by insuline pump, nourishment and sport, last two chaptures are interested in student with diabetes at the elementary school. Second part of teoretical part is dedicated to the assistent of pedagogue, his/her aktivity and personal assumptions. Practical part is refering to own qualitative research, when research group was made up from students of chosen elementary schools. Students were chosen from 3 different elementary schools in Prague. Practical part consists of 3 case studies refering to the students at 1st level elementary school with diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. The data collection took place with a help of document study, interviews with parents, teachers and asistents of pedagogues and will be completed by observing. Preparation of this work came out from professional literature and publications, from laws and results of performer research.
Using games and contests in English language teaching at elementary school level.

Abstract This Diploma Thesis deals with using games and competitions in teaching of English for the first level of primary schools. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the role of the game in English language teaching and its possible use in order to develop key language skills. The theoretical part deals with the psychological characteristics of the younger school age, then the theory of play and the developmental stages of children's play. In the last part of the thesis, there are described the different types of didactic games. The practical part consists of two parts. The first part presents didactic games, that are properly commented in terms of general educational and language objectives. Each of them was taught and reflected in terms of its effectiveness. The second chapter of the practical part presents the results of the research, which was conducted in the form of a guided interview with English language teachers at the elementary school, dealing with their experience in using English language lessons at primary school.
Usage of media platforms at the first school during the covid-19 pandemic

The diploma thesis "Usage of media platforms at the first school during the covid-19 pandemic" focuses on the new technologies in education and their usage in the period of distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Online platforms were the only way how to educate students for several months and not only in the Czech Republic. Video communication services have thus played a big role in our lives. This thesis aimed to reflect the usage of media platforms at the first school from the perspective of pedagogues teaching in Prague or the Central Bohemian Region. The research period is defined from the widespread closure of schools in the Czech Republic, from March 11th, 2020, until the last restriction on May 24th, 2021. Through semi-structured in-depth interviews with fifteen respondents were compared the functions of individual platforms. Respondents were selected based on predetermined criteria. Emphasis was placed mainly on the advantages and disadvantages of online platforms and the experience of educators. Already in the coding of the respondents' answers, about the second wave of the pandemic, it was found that interviewees did not have the main word when it depend on choosing a platform for connecting with students. Using Board Games in the Czech Language Lessons in Primary School

The aim of my diploma thesis is to enrich the first stage with aids that can be used effectively in Czech language lessons, it will be possible to easily modify and use them across the first stage of basic education, at the same time it will entertain pupils and motivate them in further education. These are board games, which are described in more detail in the last paragraph. The first half of the work is theoretically focused. It explains the definition of the game from various sources, draws attention to the importance of the game in human life and how it develops individual skills. It also presents the history of board games. Here you will also find an explanation of individual concepts related to games and the school environment. It includes a justification of the didactic potential of board games in Czech language lessons. Last but not least, there is also a short analysis of the part of the FEP related to the Czech language with comments on how the outputs can be fulfilled or key competencies can be developed through board games. This thesis deals with the breaktime at the first grade of primary school, especially at the first class. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the basic characteristics of school and education, develoments peculiarity of childs under school age, and finally the principal topic of the breaktime. The second part contains the braketime research of primary school in Liberec. The research includes methods of a structured observation of the first class pupils supplemented by interviews with pupils and their class teacher. The aim of this thesis is to present the current proces of breaketime and also to make comparison the first and 5th class and show the possibilities which are applicable to change the current proces.

TITLE: Development of children's creativity for leisure activities with various materials AUTHOR: Petra Havířová DEPARTMENT: Department of School Education and Social SUPERVISOR: Ing. ABSTRACT: In the theoretical part of this work I was paid the most concise summary of scientific findings on the general theme of creativity and its separation from various angles. In the practical part, I then conducted research with Torranceho creativity tests, which aimed to identify and record the progress and development of creativity in a selected sample of students in primary school, which has been for four months, targeted action. Hypothesis only visible shift in receptive students has not been confirmed. Better test results were found for most students. It surpassed my expectations. Targeted activities for pupils and proved to be a suitable way of developing creativity.
Preparing the teachers for the integration of the children with autistic spektrum disorders into regular primary school

The diploma with title Preparing the teachers for the integration of the children with autistic spektrum disorders into regular primary school aims in its theoretical part acquaint the reader with the concept of autistic spectrum disorders, the classification and individual characteristics closer disorders. It provides an overview of suitable approaches, forms and methods of work with these children, educational opportunities and further aims at integration into mainstream schools. In its research section it aims to penetrate deeper into the issue of preparing teachers to integrate pupils with autism and a description of its subsequent course. Based on qualitative research methods, namely semi-structured interviews and document research presents a collection of opinions, attitudes, experiences, recommendations and advice on how to integrate teachers and school principals, as well as opinions and attitudes of teachers who don't have experience with integration. The results of the investigation could be a base for further research of a quantitative nature.
Inclusion of Pupils with Asperger syndrome in primary school

This work aims to analyze and describe how the inclusion of pupils with Asperger's syndrome takes place in a regular school and to verify the success of inclusion in practice through qualitative research. The theoretical part deals mainly with the possibilities of inclusion and its benefits in the school system, manifestations, and disorders associated with Asperger's syndrome, but also by defining basic concepts such as autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's syndrome, integration, and inclusion. Furthermore, the diagnosis of this spectrum of disorders according to the world criteria ICD 10 and DSM5 and ICD 11, which will come into force in the Czech Republic in 2022. The theoretical part also discusses the methods of approach and the position of teaching assistant. The empirical part of the thesis contains two case studies and evaluation of the success of the inclusion of pupils in mainstream schools based on qualitative research, in which I apply the knowledge from the theoretical part. The methods that were used for data collection and analysis include observation, interview, and expert documents. Methods and Techniques of Drama in Education in the Lessons of Czech Language at the 3rd Grade of Primary School.

The aim of this thesis is to discover the possibilities Drama in Education can bring into the teaching of Czech Language in the third year of Primary Schools. The central hypothesis is whether Drama is a suitable tool for pupil instruction and what is the scale of methods and techniques in Drama in Education in the third year in Primary Schools. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical section. In the theoretical part, both Czech Language and Drama in Education are reflected on in the framework of the curriculum of Primary Schools, including their characteristics and goals and their conformity with the National Curriculum. This section is also dedicated to the methods and the mutual interconnectedness of both disciplines. Further, the specifics of a primary school student are provided. The practical part is divided into parts according to the days of the week. In each day, a description of a specific Czech Language lesson in the third year is provided. In the description, the methods and techniques of Drama in Education are included. Each lesson consists also of the responses of the students as they gave them throughout the teaching bloc.
